Student biographies are often requested upon winning an award. Here is a quick "how to" write a student bio:
Write about yourself in the third person. (Do not use "I." Instead, use your own name as if you are talking about yourself, i.e. "In her free time, Lauren enjoys knitting and gardening."
Introduce yourself (if writing this for STARR student, please include your Francis Tuttle program, i.e. Automotive or Interactive Media or BSMA)
Say something about what makes you unique, what makes you tick
Discuss your interests, hobbies, sending school, sports, family- whatever feels right.
Tell us about your goals for the future.
(If writing for STARR) Tell us your favorite part of Francis Tuttle.
Here is an example:
Jane Doe is a 2nd year student in the Biosciences and Medicine Academy. When she is not at Francis Tuttle, she can be found playing with her two dogs or participating in competitive equine events. Jane has lived in Edmond her whole life. She is a founding member of the Santa Fe chess club. She also enjoys playing minecraft with her little brother. After graduation, Jane hopes to attend Arizona State University to study medical science. She hopes to be a pediatric oncologist. Her favorite part of Francis Tuttle is meeting new people with shared interests. Jane also loves all the HOSA events!
Here is an example of my bio. You do not need to divide personal and professional; just smush it all together.
